Connect Sun Prairie is committed to supporting, promoting, improving and expanding Metro Transit bus service in Sun Prairie. We link all these efforts with others aimed at making it easier to walk, roll, and bike in our city.
Great transit is important its own right. It is also key to balancing growth, mobility, and livability in Sun Prairie.
We want to tell everyone in Sun Prairie how easy Metro Transit is to use and about all the places bus service can take them. We also seek a community-wide conversation about how to make the service better and more attractive to more riders.
Finally, we hope to show even those who rarely (or never) ride the bus that investing in good transit benefits them, their neighborhoods, and their community.
How we work
Connect Sun Prairie is continually expanding a program of community education and outreach through such activities as:
- Sharing ideas with elected and appointed officials and city staff
- Presenting information to local civic and community groups
- Hosting educational tables at public events
- Communicating our message through local press and social media
- Sponsoring events to highlight the benefits of transit
